Thoughts : Filling in the blanks

I have never been an atheist or a non-believer either. I prefer remaining in the question till something is decided. In everything remaining in question seems to be best for me. I'm not even sure if agnostic fills the blank well. 

In Percy Jackson : The Lightning Thief(Who said you learn only from fat, non-fantasy books?), the Mist causes humans not to see what is happening with the Olympians and the demigods. They fill in their blanks.

So I began thinking

For a long time many reasons as to why earthquakes occur came up. One I read about was that when the bull holding the earth aloft shifts the weight to another horn, earthqyakes occur. This is a belief. It may be the reason. 

Then later we came up with science. We filled in the blank differently

Maybe God is just a belief. Because we are not yet able to fill in the blanks of certain things. Like why things happen, why kindness works, why we exist. Maybe after a few centuries we will fill in the blank differently.

Over the MUN

I used to scoff at the "MUN kid" stereotype. Obnoxious, bratty, condescending. "You don't know that also aa?"  I was not that kid. I was the kid who aced the tests, who would write an opinionated essay but whose ears would block out when handed a microphone. The one that said 'phew' after getting off stage.  As part of my 'Introspection Summer', I signed up for three courses on Udemy, and completed one. 'Existential Philosophy' by Karim Benammar. It not only provided clarity as to existential crises and purpose, but opened up a whole new world of freedom and choice.  Why are we alive? There are two questions that we seek the answers to. How to make a living and How to give shape to our life. We have answered the first question through careers, and providing for our families.
